Years Active: 1997-PresentThis Week’s Artist is non other than singer/songwriter Josh Groban. Having recieved multi-platinum certification in all four of his albums, 24 million albums sold, he is fast becoming one of the most world-renowned artists in the music industry.
I discovered Josh Groban via my sister and at first not open in listening to his music. It was when his album, Closer, came out and really made me listen to it. Josh Groban has incredible talent being able to crossover from Classical to Pop to World Music. Although not as popular as his fellow musician James Blunt and Justin Bieber, Josh Groban is a strong contender in terms of musicality and voice quality. Unlike most Pop Artists in our charts, Josh Groban has the ability to sing in other languages, which I know convinces some people that he spoke the language.

Day 6 - Lyrics That Remind You of Your Best Memory
“Awake” - Josh Groban [Awake]
This song applies to many different memories. Soon as I think of one I find another equally great one. My first concert, the times I spent with various people, my first ‘date’, times when I travelled, when I overcame trials, ‘Hobbit Days’, the list goes on.
We don’t get to keep anything for very long but we do get moments to appreciate the people we have in our lives and at least we get to keep the memories we hold dearly to our hearts. This song conveys these thoughts so beautifully. Good job, Mr. Groban ^_^
As for the video, I made it a long time ago (you can tell who my favourite companion is—their friendship was just wonderful) and it contains S4 Doctor Who spoilers. I was so devastated by what happened to the companion but I’m hoping that people who know what’s going on can see how the song applies to their situation. It’s difficult but also beautiful in a painful way.
