“Waves Breaking” - Muffler

In the middle of leaving a message on a friend’s FB wall, my curious little eye could help but spot an HR video left on his wall several days ago.  I wouldn’t have listened if it wasn’t Muffler.  But it was so I did, and I pretty much turned into mush from the awesomeness.  I love Muffler to bits and I’m going to make it a point to track this down and own it the proper way.

This came two days ago and suffice it to say, I was very surprised because I was expecting it to come much, much later (the first single came nearly a month and a half after it was dispatched :P).  I still have to get used to the—I’m not sure if this is the word for it—grittier sounds of “Problem Child” but I most definitely love “Sweet Little Supernova”.  It is currently on loop.  And yes, album art does not disappoint in the slightest.  My first pieces of vinyl and they’re Blu Mar Ten ^_^

I am very excited for the entire album to come out, guys!  Also, I’m not sure why I didn’t know about this earlier but they’ve got a tumblog too so head over here and follow them for updates to your dash!

First piece of vinyl I bought for myself ever (I’ve bought one before but as a present for my mother—it was a special edition blue vinyl of Sting’s “Dream of the Blue Turtles”) and it happens to be a limited release Blu Mar Ten one ^_^ Absolutely fitting.

These two tracks are amazing.  Currently listening to and loving them (you get the 320 mp3s free with the order ^_^).  I hope that it makes it to our new address in Victoria.

They’re running out of the vinyl so be sure to check out their Surus shop if you’re after some seriously awesome music.  They’ve got some previous releases as well as shirts I will definitely chase up as soon as we’ve settled into the new house.  Pretty excited for this one!

The Light (featuring Kirsty Hawkshaw) - Seba and Paradox

Last one for the night, I promise.  And a good one too.

I went foraging through my archives to make sure I didn’t post this already.  I’m surprised I had not, considering how much I love this song to bits.  First time I heard it was in one of the special episodes of the HR podcasts that aired shortly after the earthquake in Japan.  Tony promised less shouts/talking and more beautiful music.  I loved that episode.

On that note, I bid you all good night and mucho love as always.

Three Dots - B Complex [Sick Music 2]

I am up at the crack of dawn, drawing strange hybrid monster lab rats (don’t ask—glass sculpture related xD).  Also listening to the Sick Music 2 album, which I got with some beautiful candles and chocolate yesterday from a very special friend.  It was the first time I heard this song coming through my earphones and loved it so much!  It’s so…different.  When I went to check for the name of the song and artist, I wasn’t surprised.  I love B Complex to bits and there’s no mistaking his style ^_^

Meteorites - London Elektricity [Yikes!]

YES!

After a mind numbing 11 hours of model-making at uni, I came home to find a package had arrived from HR.  I now have in my possession a signed copy of “Yikes!” I’m currently listening to it and absolutely love it to bits.

Buy it (don’t steal!), I promise you will not be disappointed! And it will put a huge smile on Tony’s face ^_^
