The view from my room back in Rads.  The one on the left was my first room, with a view of the grassy and quite huge front lawn that looked terrible in the summer because it was sandy and brown.  Adelaide weather is typical mediterranean—hot and dry in summer and cool and dry in the winter with little rain.  Perfect for the wine grapes :D

The one on the right was after I switched rooms with my brothers.  That had the view of the backyard pool and the hill next to us.  Right behind our house was a reserve so it was a tiny strip of greenery where nothing was built.  Extra privacy.  Sometimes it really felt like we were living in Eden Hills or Blackwood; hilly forest land.  The sunrises and sunsets from this window were magnificent.  I think one day I’ll end up settling somewhere like this in a home I’ve designed and built for my family.

Yes, we were mighty blessed and still are.
